Huckabee Interviewed By Rick Amato

Huckabee Appears On Show-

HuckabeeHe has a new TV show on FOX, a new national radio show and now a new book titled 'Do The Right Thing'.

"Life is good", former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee told me this week when he appeared as my guest on "Inside the Story with Rick Amato".

But that is not all he said. Huckabee was very sharp and candid in his criticism of Mitt Romney and in the selection by John McCain of Sara Palin.

So much so that I have received several email from conservative listeners who wondered why Huckabee has chosen "to air the republican party's dirty laundry in public?"

Whatever the case two things are apparent:

* Huckabee seems to be positioning himself for a run in 2012
* Huckabee is authentic and passionate in his beliefs.

You can hear the entire interview here.
It is definately worth a listen.

The Rick Amato Show. A Show Of Influence?

Congressman Bob Filner (D-CA) House Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee appeared in a front page exclusive story in The Washington Times today.

For those keeping score at home, Filner becomes the second guest in past few weeks to both appear on The Rick Amato Show... and then be the subject of a front page exclusive  story in the W-T.

Filner is proposing to establish a "de-boot camp," where returning service members would undergo mandatory diagnosis for brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in order to reduce instances of domestic violence and suicide.

You can read the entire article here.

Outgoing congressman Duncan Hunter and his son congressman-elect Duncan D. Hunter Jr.  also  appeared in the W-T recently  in a story highlighting their role in earmarking and  campaign contributions from defense contractors.

Separatly but of special interest to our listeners, Congressman Filner has been actively involved in helping bring justice to wrongly imprisoned 24 year old PFC Corey Clagett.

The Hunter's chose not to get involved.
