Important Story Not Being Told

There is a very important story involving our severely wounded vets in the War on Terror that is going largely unnoticed by the mainstream media, ignored by our political leaders and unknown to the American public.

That was the topic of my appearance on 'Good Morning San Diego' earlier today:

Breaking News Story On Today's Show

Commander David K. Rehbein of the American Legion set down his phone after speaking with the White House, and then picked it back up to call into today's Washington Times show- Inside the Story with Rick Amato- to announce the Obama administration has abandoned its plans to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered wounds and injuries.

This is very good news for America's military veterans and I commend the Administration for making the right decision.

The show will be podcast and available for listening on demand at 7pm EST/ 4pm PST at:

http://www.wsradio.com/internet-talk-radio.cfm/shows/Washington-Times-Inside-the-Story-Radio.html

Two minutes before airtime Commander Rehbein had informed us he was legally prohibited from commenting publicly since he was in the middle of negotiations with the White House.

American Imprisoned, Tortured In Dubai... What Next For Newspapers?

Today on 'Inside the Story with Rick Amato' on Washington Times Radio:

American citizen Zack Shahin has been sitting in a Dubai prison for over a year...with charges never being brought against him. His family and attorney have never been informed as to why he was violently removed from his home, why bail has not been made available and why a court date has never been set.

Additionally , the US gov't has been unsuccessful in its attempts to get the Dubai gov't- our friend in the Middle East- to respond to inquiries or demands of a release. What is going on?

Today the emotionally shaken brother of Zack Shahin attempts to make a difference by raising public awareness and outrage, as he joins me as my guest.

No More Ink On Fingers?

The newspaper business is in a state of flux as the economy forces cutbacks and people turn to the internet as their primary news source.

How does this bode for the integrity of news in the future? If professional journalists are the victims of change, will Americans now be forced to rely on bloggers for their news coverage?

John Solomon, award winning journalist and Executive Editor of The Washington Times, joins me to sort it all out.

DNC On His Left, Limbaugh On His Right

Is RNC Chair Michael Steele caught in a fatal crossfire? Some say 'yes', others say not so fast he's just getting warmed up and will emerge as the party leader.

RNC Transition Chair Reince Priebus is our guest to explain what to expect from Steele.

That's today 4pm EST/1PM PST and on demand at:

http://www.wsradio.com/internet-talk-radio.cfm/shows/Washington-Times-Inside-the-Story-Radio.html
