 The Big Cheese

Washington Times reporters John McCaslin and Jerry Seper confronted S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford regarding additional girlfriends and 'pick-up lines' that they discovered while investigating his background.

Sanford tells more, apologizes again, and says he is determined to stay in office. Today I caught up with investigative reporter Jerry Seper who had this to say in this EXCLUSIVE story: CLICK HERE.

Abducting Children To Carry Out Suicide Bombings

Award winning journalist- and a real spark plug of a reporter- Sara Carter has uncovered a sad, but important story for the world to know in the War On Terror.

Members of a Pakistani Taliban group are abducting children ages 7-14 years old for the purpose of carrying out suicide bombings.

Sara shared this with me today in this EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW.

Excuse Me. Isn't This The Type of Person We Want In Public Office?

Chula Vista, CA City Councilman John McCann is scheduled to leave for Iraq for 1 year as a Navy Reservist.

Federal law protects the jobs of reservists.

But in a political move, organized labor and a City Attorney want to APPOINT a replacement for McCann.

A Navy reservist leaving his family for one year to serve in Iraq. Isn't this exactly the type of individual we want in public office, and this how we treat him?

John McCann is my guest tonight on The Rick Amato Show Presented by The Washington Times.

"They are corrupt and have something to hide"

 - The words of Steve Frank, well-respected political consultant and publisher of Capoliticalnews.com, referring to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and their appointment of Bill Gore as interim sheriff while appearing on The Rick Amato Show.

When I commented that the Supervisors gave the appearance of corruption, Frank corrected me and said..they are corrupt.

"Listen I live here in Ventura County and I've heard about this story. That tells you how much people are talking about this across the state",
Frank went on to say.

Steve Frank is no Johnny-come- lately to republican politics. His experience dates back to the Goldwater days.

You can hear my interview with Steve Frank here.(6-24-09)

He also said that the appointment of Gore will have the unintended consequence of forcing Gore to talk about his job performance on 9-11 and at Ruby Ridge.

My offer to Board of Supervisors: Greg Cox, Bill Horn, Pam Slater Price, Dianne Jacob and Ron Roberts to appear as a guest on my show still stands.

To date no one has accepted.

Iranian Gov't Operatives In America?

I know that may sound a little extreme or unusual-sounding to those of us who are not Iranian-born immigrants to this country, but that is exactly what I discovered while preparing for a recent show.

While scheduling guests last week of Iranian-born descent I was told- on more than one occasion- that they feared for their safety and health here in America and therefor could not appear on the radio show

Further is is believed apparently by many that the Iranian government has operatives- here in America- watching for those who speak out against their former country.

I found this to be the case when speaking with people on both the east and west coasts. Whether it is accurate or not - it is believed to be true

It is unfortunate that the Iranian gov't continues to intimidate these people even here in America and is a story, as I say, most of us are not aware of.

Apparently including President Obama who until recently favored negoiations with the state, and in fact mocked conservatives as being intolerant or close minded for not pursueing negotiations.

You can here my interview here with Farrah Douglas (left Iran in 1979). Farrah is purposely not using her maiden name. (6-22-09)

The Stoning of Soroya M.

That is the title of a new movie which recently opened in New York, LA and Washington, D.C.  The story is of an Iranian woman who is framed on adultery charges and is sentenced to be stoned to death.

It's purpose is to "open world's the eyes" on the treatement of women in some Muslim countries.

Who should see it? "Anyone who believes you can negoiate and reason with people of these beliefs", according to Washington Times film critic Sonny Bunch.

Sonny saw a pre-screening of the movie. You can hear my interview with Sonny Bunch on The Stoning of Soroya M. here. (6-24-09)
