OK so the economy is  crummy, WH press secretary Robert Gibbs says talk radio is "so yesterday" and we live in an era of information overload.

I guess there just aren't many affordable options available for a business to cut through the clutter and successfully market themselves? I guess we are all left with no other choice but to sit back and wait this recession-thing out?  Right?

...Wrong...But don't take our word for it.

In the section below see what others are saying.

Our Monday show features a heavy-hitter lineup of expert guests and analyses covering the tragic story of the recent murder of a Border Agent.

Be sure to check it out in our Lineup section below.

And remember if you miss us live, you can always catch us on the podcast.

That's it for now.

Best Wishes,

Rick

.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!

I've often said that talk radio listeners are special in that:

By nature they are more engaged and involved in the content of the show than many other types of audiences. Listeners of talk radio literally are "tuned-in", purposeful listeners...

and that is GOOD NEWS for businesses, organizations, and political campaigns...regardless of the economy or the misguided opinion of WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

Here is what others are saying about us:

* "Rick
thank you for your help.  I received so many email and comments the day after appearing on your show.  You are helping us make a difference".

Farrah Douglass-
Organizer of "Stand for Human Rights In Solidarity with the Iranians" rally in San Diego. Farrah appeared on the show before the rally and sent the above email afterwards.

* "The exposure we received from Rick on the radio was key to our success. The air time he provided for me to talk about the TEA Party rally along with his constant reminders to listeners to attend was invaluable".

Barry Willis, Organizer of the East County TEA Party 4th of July Protest.

* "I am impressed with the response. I have an inbox full of messages through the website as a result of last night's interview.  Thank you, thank you, thank you
".

Vic Salazar- Former NBC San Diego News anchorman and now president of his own marketing firm.  An email he sent us one day after appearing on the show.

Bill Wells
* "Running campaign ads on Rick's show was the best money I ever spent. I'll tell anybody who wants to know."

Bill Wells- Elected to City Council in El Cajon, CA in a race decided by less than 500 votes.

Give us a call and let us strategize a plan for your business, event or political campaign.

There does not need to be a recession in your life this year.

Breaking News Story

There is a breaking news development related to the story we reported last Monday on the Jihadist group meeting in Chicago.

Best Wishes,

An Int'l Crackdown While America Sleeps

On Monday we reported on the radical Islamic group  Hizb ut Tahrir
that is holding a conference at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago (Fall of Capitalism & Rise of Islam).

Remarkably the conference is getting little to no media attention in America and perhaps it is because Hizb ut Tahrir is not regarded as a terrorist group by the U.S. gov't.

As Global Security Expert Dr. Whalid Phares told us Monday night,
Hizb ut Tahriris a very dangerous group - banned in many Muslim countries and even regarded as extremist by CAIR!-  and should not be taken so lightly by the U.S. gov't.

Phares pointed out that the group normally "operates under the radar and out of public light" which is what makes this recent out-in-the-open high profile conference in Chicago all the more troubling.

On Friday the Russian News Agency NOVOTSI announced that 200 members of Hizb ut Tahrir were arrested across the country. NOVOTSI also quoted Dr. Phares from a report he discussed while on our show on Monday.

On Friday Phares posted this comment on his blog:

"Interesting that Turkey arrest Hizb Ut Tahrir members, Germany and many Muslim countries bans the organization, Great Britain tries to fight them with moderate Muslims, but in Chicago, the Jihadist group is holding a campaign to bring down dozens of Governments around the world, without being addressed by the US Government."

You can read more from Dr. Phares here.

SUPPORTING  BOWE  BERGDAHL

American soldier Bowe Bergdahl was recently captured and is being held prisoner by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Prior to joining the military Bowe worked for Sue Martin the owner of a coffee shop in Idaho and family friend.  Sue Martin has taken on the role of family spokesperson.

Sue Martin will appear as a guest once each week on The Rick Amato while Bowe Bergdahl is held captive, in an effort to keep his story front and center in minds of our listening audience.

On Wednesday I interviewed Sue Martin for the first time. You can hear that interview here.

Fearing loss of work the writer did not want his true identity revealed.  He recently wrote and recorded a song called American Heart which has been featured on Michael Savage, Dennis Miller and elsewhere and was aired during the show.

"Jon David" may also attend and perform the song at the upcoming September 12th East County TEA Party and San Diego Sheriff's debate event.

Conservative Hollywood actor/filmmaker ROBERT DAVI (007, Die Hard, Show Girls, The Goonies)
will be Guest Hosting the show Thursday evening as I take the night off.  Driving down from LA for the occasion he will be taking your phone calls live-on-the-air and toll free at 888.344.1170!

Among the various topics which I hear are very likely to be discussed:

* Davi is leading a campaign to introduce legislation to make pet ownership a tax deduction. (Yes the tough-sounding New Yorker who often portrays a villain is actually a soft-hearted guy). *Why conservatives should be embracing pop culture instead of running from it.  * Coming out of the conservative closet in Hollywood and why it is still dangerous for many. * The decline of opera talent in America and what is behind it.

Robert will have several guests Thursday evening and rumor has it that fellow conservative actor Jon Voight may possibly be one of them. We'll have to wait and see.

Don't underestimate the significance of Davi's actions. By taking the steps which he has previously taken- and by Guest Hosting Thursday- he is helping pave the way for other Hollywood conservatives to someday come out of the closet without fear of intimidation or lost work.

Be sure to tune in Thursday night. Should be special.

Islamic Supremacist Summit in Chicago

As previously noted a group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by holding its first official conference in the U.S.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It has operated discreetly in the U.S. for decades.

Now, it is coming out of the shadows and openly hosting a July 19 conference entitled, "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam," at a posh Hilton hotel in Chicago.

Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it does not engage in terrorism, and it is not recognized by the State Department as a known terror group.

But some terrorism experts say it may be even more dangerous than many groups that are on the terror list.

"Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the oldest, largest indoctrinating organizations for the ideology known as jihadism," Walid Phares, director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and our guest Monday night, told FOXNews.com.

Developments such as this is what makes the work of ACT! For America founder Brigitte Gabriel so important.  ACT! For America's sole purpose is to educate and provide tools for everyday Americans to fight/prevent the spread of radical Islamic influence on U.S. soil.  The Lebanese-born Gabriel speaks from first hand experience when it comes to understanding the threat of radical Islam on home soil.

She is also a featured speaker on the Cruise For America. There is still space available for the November 14-21 eastern Caribbean Cruise hosted by myself and The Washington Times.  Call 877-268-9632 to join us.  This is going to be special.

He Didn't Really Say That Did He?

Comedian Russ T Nailz joined me as a guest last week and had this to say about the-then upcoming gay pride parade in in San Diego:

"I realize when you go to a parade it is customary to sit on someone's shoulders.  But I thought you were both supposed to be facing the parade?"

You can catch Russ T Nailz at the Hardrock Cafe' in Las Vegas and on the Big Biz Radio Show.

Steve Forbes and Diane Jacob Interview Bring in the Ratings

The recent interviews with Steve Forbes and also with San Diego Board of Supervisor Diane Jacob have proven to be very popular with our audience based upon email response, phone calls and the number of people listening-on-demand to the podcasts.

Jacob called the action of her fellow board of supervisors "disaapointing" and Steve Forbes, well he was Steve Forbes.

A Night With Border Agent Jose' Compeon and Family

One of my recent public speaking appearances took me to Temecula, CA where I had the honor of interviewing Border Agent Jose' Compeon (pictured here together) to an audience of Murrietta-Temecula Republican Assembly Group members.

His message: "Grass roots activism in America works. If it had not been for all those Americans who contacted their elected officials and did so repeatedly on my behalf, I'd likely still be in prison today.  I'm living proof that grass roots activism in America works".

Sara Palin Rumors

Amanda Carpenter
of The O'Reilly Factor and The Washington Times shared with us recently the rumor that becoming a 'national spokesperson for the National TEA Party' could be in Sara Palin's future.

But Mark Meckler- California representative to one of the national TEA Party groups- joined us and sounded less than enthusiastic about the idea.

Meckler was cordial, professional and respectful in his comments but one could not help but feel as far as he was concerned...it just was not a good idea.

Meanwhile Palin gave an exclusive interview to The Washington Times and said she plans on campaigning for conservative-minded democrats.

Just the stuff TEA Party values are made of: Not supporting a candidate based upon party affiliation, but instead based upon fiscal conservative values.

Hmmm sounds like things could get interestingAs John Solomon told us, "Sara Palin thrives on the unpredictable. On rising to the occasion when the establishment has all but written her off".

Stay tuned.

East County TEA Party Sets Date For Sheriff's Debate

Organizer Barry Willis informs us that the E.C. TEA Party has finalized a date and location for its next event:  Saturday, September 12th  2:00-5:00 at the El Cajon Ampitheatre.

As part of that event The Rick Amato Show will broadcast a debate among the candidates in the SD County Sheriff's race with audience participation!  The debate will then air on the radio on 1170KCBQ the following Monday evening as part of our show.

Although invitations will not go out to all candidates until this week THREE candidates have already signaled participation:  Jay LaSuer, Bruce Ruff and Jim Duffy.

We anticipate an event audience size of approximately 1,000 people plus coverage from the major local and statewide political blog sites and local TV.

Hope to see you there!

"Their Actions Are Disappointing But Not Corrupt"

Those were the words of Board of Supervisor Diane Jacob who appeared on the show last week to discuss the appointment process by the BOS in the sheriff appointment saga.

"I wish they would have opened it up to a public dialogue but they chose not to and that is disappointing", Jacob said of her colleagues.

Jacobs appearance has generated an outpouring of positive response from our audience who saw her comments as "refreshing" and her taking the issue head on as being stand-up.  Her interview, along with Steve Forbes, have been our two most listened to podcasts this month.

Jacob also went on to say, "I would expect that every single candidate in the sheriffs race participate in the upcoming debate".

For the record JACOB WAS THE ONLY BOS MEMBER TO ACCEPT OUR INVITATION TO APPEAR ON THE SHOW.  Two members, Slater-Price and Roberts, never even responded back.

It is interesting. I can get the likes of Steve Forbes, Lou Dobbs and Gov. Arnold for example to return my messages, but not Ron Roberts or Pam Slater-Price.

Hey Buddy Can You Spare A Dime?
Have you seen the U-T lately?  As thin as a dime. Meanwhile I have been getting a growing number of complaints about the "increasingly left-leaning view of the paper".

Talk about a busines not knowing (or ignoring) its customer!

My point is San Diego feels like it is ripe for an out of town paper to enter our region and takeover market share. There is precedent for big city newspapers underserving its customer base (typically during a strike) and competing papers moving in to gain market share.  Internet or no internet I feel an opportunity exists for someone.

Danon Sends Slater-Price Camp Chasing Its' Tail

As Barry Jantz has reported at the FlashReport ,Chief of Staff for Rep Bilbray- Steve Danon- intends to run for County Supervisor against fellow republican Pam Slater-Price.

The intitial announcment had the Slater-Price camp chasing its' tail and putting out multiple press releases...one correcting a previous one.

In 2006 as a guest on CNN with Lou Dobbs I called Danon "masterful campaigner".  I stand by that statement today.

Even though I admittedly know very little about Pam Slater-Price here is my way too early prediction:

Steve Danon wins this race and may even send Slater-Price into an early face-saving retirement.

Why: I'll explain in upcoming issues. But let me just say I am going mostly on instinct. I know- and have said so on CNN with Lou Dobbs- that Danon is a masterful campaigner. I also know that Price hasn't run a seriuous campaign in over 16 years.  More details in upcoming issues.

Oh, and as far as my betting insticts are concerned:

Remember I predicted the Steelers would win the Super Bowl 27-17
(Final score 27-23 Steelers)

...And I predicted the Penguins would win hte Stanly Cup in 6 over the Red Wings.

-The Penguins won in 7...and I KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT HOCKEY!-

This Rally is apolitical and does not support/oppose any political party or candidate for president in Iran. It is a call to solidarity above and beyond all political allegiances.

Kudos to Barry Willis, the E.C. TEA Party & Others

Kudos are in order for Barry Willis organizer of the East County TEA Party for having the ingenuity and vision to make a San Diego County Sheriff candidate debate as part of their next event.

While endorsing no candidates and remaining non-partisan the East County TEA Party is evolving to the next level, one which many people feel is a natural fit for TEA Parties:

-Getting local candidates out of their ivory towers and bringing them in front of the people through Candidate Forums-

Interestingly just last week John Solomon- Managing Editor of The Washington Times- while on my show said, "It will be interesting to see what the next step for the TEA Parties are. They have demonstrated they are for real and have staying power. But now it will be interesting to see what comes out of all this impassioned energy through new candidates and legislation".

...Separately, if you heard my show Tuesday night...then you heard Amanda Carpenter of The O'Reilly Factor say that there is speculation that the National TEA Party just might be in Sara Palin's future.

"She needs a group to align herself with and they need a national spokesperson", Amanda commented.

Kudos are also in order for candidates Bruce Ruff and Jay La Suer for being the first to accept our debate invitation.

In the true spirit of grass roots activism La Suer and Ruff will bare themselves to the people in asking for their vote at the next TEA Party. Thanks in large part to Barry Willis.

PS- Changing topics entirely the most recent joke by Letterman stating that 'Sara Palin has stepped down as Alaskan governor to become the next Octo-mom' I feel is horrible on so many levels. I also wonder how his sponsors and the pro-feminine groups feel about his joke? I will be contacting them for their response in my upcoming article at BIG HOLLYWOOD.

Sara shared this with me today in this EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW.
