 The Big Cheese

Washington Times reporters John McCaslin and Jerry Seper confronted S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford regarding additional girlfriends and 'pick-up lines' that they discovered while investigating his background.

Sanford tells more, apologizes again, and says he is determined to stay in office. Today I caught up with investigative reporter Jerry Seper who had this to say in this EXCLUSIVE story: CLICK HERE.

Abducting Children To Carry Out Suicide Bombings

Award winning journalist- and a real spark plug of a reporter- Sara Carter has uncovered a sad, but important story for the world to know in the War On Terror.

Members of a Pakistani Taliban group are abducting children ages 7-14 years old for the purpose of carrying out suicide bombings.

Sara shared this with me today in this EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW.

Excuse Me. Isn't This The Type of Person We Want In Public Office?

Chula Vista, CA City Councilman John McCann is scheduled to leave for Iraq for 1 year as a Navy Reservist.

Federal law protects the jobs of reservists.

But in a political move, organized labor and a City Attorney want to APPOINT a replacement for McCann.

A Navy reservist leaving his family for one year to serve in Iraq. Isn't this exactly the type of individual we want in public office, and this how we treat him?

John McCann is my guest tonight on The Rick Amato Show Presented by The Washington Times.

9pm-11pm PST online at AmatoTalk.comand On-Air at 1170 KCBQ in San Diego.

"They Are Corrupt and Hiding Something"

In studioGreetings Friends
,

"They are corrupt and have something to hide"

 - The words of Steve Frank, well-respected political consultant and publisher of Capoliticalnews.com, referring to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and their appointment of Bill Gore as interim sheriff while appearing on The Rick Amato Show.

When I commented that the Supervisors gave the appearance of corruption, Frank corrected me and said..they are corrupt.

"Listen I live here in Ventura County and I've heard about this story. That tells you how much people are talking about this across the state",
Frank went on to say.

Steve Frank is no Johnny-come- lately to republican politics. His experience dates back to the Goldwater days.

You can hear my interview with Steve Frank here.(6-24-09)

He also said that the appointment of Gore will have the unintended consequence of forcing Gore to talk about his job performance on 9-11 and at Ruby Ridge.

My offer to Board of Supervisors: Greg Cox, Bill Horn, Pam Slater Price, Dianne Jacob and Ron Roberts to appear as a guest on my show still stands.

To date no one has accepted.

Iranian Gov't Operatives In America?

I know that may sound a little extreme or unusual-sounding to those of us who are not Iranian-born immigrants to this country, but that is exactly what I discovered while preparing for a recent show.

While scheduling guests last week of Iranian-born descent I was told- on more than one occasion- that they feared for their safety and health here in America and therefor could not appear on the radio show

Further is is believed apparently by many that the Iranian government has operatives- here in America- watching for those who speak out against their former country.

I found this to be the case when speaking with people on both the east and west coasts. Whether it is accurate or not - it is believed to be true

It is unfortunate that the Iranian gov't continues to intimidate these people even here in America and is a story, as I say, most of us are not aware of.

Apparently including President Obama who until recently favored negoiations with the state, and in fact mocked conservatives as being intolerant or close minded for not pursueing negotiations.

You can here my interview here with Farrah Douglas (left Iran in 1979). Farrah is purposely not using her maiden name. (6-22-09)

The Stoning of Soroya M.

That is the title of a new movie which recently opened in New York, LA and Washington, D.C.  The story is of an Iranian woman who is framed on adultery charges and is sentenced to be stoned to death.

It's purpose is to "open world's the eyes" on the treatement of women in some Muslim countries.

Who should see it? "Anyone who believes you can negoiate and reason with people of these beliefs", according to Washington Times film critic Sonny Bunch.

Sonny saw a pre-screening of the movie. You can hear my interview with Sonny Bunch on The Stoning of Soroya M. here. (6-24-09)

Upcoming Appearances

*On Friday July 3rd I have the honor of being the Emcee for the MTRA (Temecula,CA) in introducing Border Agent Jose' Compeon to their group.

Mr. Compeon will be the featured speaker at a dinner honoring him which also includes California State Assemblyman Joel Anderson as a guest speaker.

I look forward to seeing many of you there!

That's it for now. I'm working on a couple stories of note including a VERY BIG STORY involving PFC Corey Clagett and the treatment of many other lower-level, young enlisted men accused of wrong doing in the War On Terror.  Stay tuned, more to come!

'10 The Year of The Outsider?

The Tea Party movement has demonstrated there is a grassroots groundswell in this country to push back against BIG GOVERNMENT and those politicians who support it regardless of party affiliation.

Something very interesting occurred in the state of Virginia this past week which I believe is an indicator of things to come... and... is encouraging news for underdog candidates:

An established DEMOCRAT with BIG MONEY, BIG NAME RECOGNITION and BIG CONNECTIONS was defeated by an UNESTABLISHED democrat with none of the above.

Listen to my 10 minute interview with Washington Times reporter Sarah Abruzzese who covered the race and gave us her inside scoop:

http://www.wsradio.com/internet-talk-radio.cfm/shows/Washington-Times-Inside-the-Story-Radio.html

PS- Keep an eye on Matt Friedman (R) a 33 year old fiscal conservative-social libertarian, self-employed businessman who is mulliing over a run against BIG GOVERNMENT, LIBERAL SPENDING 8 term incumbent Susan Davis (D) in San Diego's 53rd congressional district. The 53rd btw, includes San Diego's predominantly gay Hillcrest area. Keep this race on your radar...it has the potential to get interesting.

June 8, 2008

San Diego, CA-  The Rick Amato Show Presented by The Washington Times  announced today that it will dedicate one show each month to raising awareness and money for severely wounded veterans causes.

As Rick Amato recently wrote in The Washington Times,

"
A tremendously important story has gone virtually untold by the media, ignored by our political leaders and unknown to the American public...America's severely wounded veterans are enduring humiliating financial hardships of epic proportions. Home evictions, utility shutoffs, car repossessions and foreclosures are commonplace.

Spouses have to give up their jobs to become caregivers, cutting family incomes by up to 50 percent or more. Most disabled vets receive much less in compensation and benefits than they did while on active duty, reducing incomes even further".

Tonight's show features Tom Palma, Executive Director of The Coalition To Salute America's Heroes which has paid out over $25 million in the past three years to severely wounded vets. The Coalition also has never turned away one qualifying vet.

Also joining the program this evening will be several entertainers from Country & Western music who have donated their time and talents to help raise money for vets.

The Rick Amato Show is broadcast from The  AmericanBullion.com  Solid Gold Studios.

AmericanBullion.com offers ONLY American gold mined on U.S. soil. AmericanBullion.com is a proud supporter of America's vets and donates a portion of proceeds to helping military families in need.

White House Scapegoating GM Bondholders

While it is one thing to have the Gov't bailout GM..it is entirely something different for the White House to put forth a legal strategy designed to keep the individual bondholders off balance and unable to have their FAIR day in court.

The consequences for the corporate debt market and faith in the U.S. financial markets (as well as individual property rights issues) go far beyond this one instance.

Take a listen to my interview with Washington Times Economic reporter Patrice Hill:

First Jihadi Cell Busted in the United States: What Does It Mean?

Global Security Expert (and Cruise For America speaker www.CruiseForAmerica.com) DR. WHALID PHARES writes that:

Today’s announcement of the foiled terror plot is a stark reminder that we are still under attack — eight years after the September 11 massacres. And if we are under attack, it means that we are still at war, a real one, not a “man-made disaster.”

Is full commentary here:
